The Chair of the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) has officially confirmed that Balderton Parish Council has earned the Local Council Scheme Bronze Award, marking a significant milestone in the Council’s ongoing commitment to improvement.

The Bronze Award recognizes the Council’s practices in governance, community engagement, and continuous improvement. It reflects the dedication of the Parish Council to go beyond legal obligations, striving to deliver outstanding service to the local community while seeking new opportunities for growth and development.

In a personal note of thanks, the NALC Chair expressed appreciation for Marion Fox Goddard, the Parish Clerk, for her outstanding efforts in submitting the Bronze Award application, as well as her dedication throughout the assessment process. The Chair also extended gratitude to the entire Council, acknowledging their service to the community and the strong support they demonstrated in pursuing the Local Council Award Scheme.

The Local Council Award Scheme is designed to celebrate the achievements of local councils, providing a structured framework for them to improve and reach their full potential. The scheme not only helps councils demonstrate they meet the high standards set by the sector, but also encourages ongoing development and innovation.
