Coronation Street Playing Field – Street Art/Graffiti – Saturday 8th March 2025

This Saturday a professional artist will be working with children and teenagers from our parish to deliver `street art’ on the side of our grounds shed in the carpark at the end of Coronation Street.

Officers from Newark and Sherwood District Council will be present keeping everyone involved safe, directing traffic and to answer any queries regarding this project. This is one of the last projects from the Safer Streets 5 initiative which has brought various benefits to Balderton.

If you are intending to visit the park on Saturday, please do so by foot/bicycle to minimise traffic in the car park if possible.

We have several children arranged to attend including the Girl Guides and school children. There will be an opportunity for some children to get involved on the day if they are passing however this will be limited as we need to keep everyone safe.

Users of the site are encouraged to avoid getting too close to the work as the paint can drift and we don’t want to spoil any property of passers-by. Cones will be out marking where traffic can go, keep young artists safe and protect property.
