The Government has launched a consultation on Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) in Nottingham and Nottinghamshire, it is reviewing how local governance works across the county. This could influence everything from how services are delivered to how local areas like Balderton are represented.

A public consultation is open until 26th March 2026, and this is your chance to influence what happens next. It’s quick, it’s straightforward, and it genuinely helps ensure local views are part of the decision‑making process.

Balderton Parish Councillors will be attending online briefings with Newark & Sherwood District Council and will discuss the consultation at the Parish Council meeting on 25th March 2026.
